The post deleted
The post was published on the X platform on Monday. The person behind the account wrote that there is a fraud from the club management towards the supporters. It also ended with a call to expose Mild to potentially deadly violence.
After a few hours, the post was deleted.
Håkan Mild says that the club's security organization is involved and working on the situation.
The tone has been escalated in many places for a while, and now it has gone so far that we receive open threats in social media. The boundaries have been pushed forward, and I hope that we can have a common view in our entire association with all members, supporters, and other stakeholders that it is not okay, says the club manager to GP.
"Nothing we can accept"
A police report has been filed by the club regarding unauthorized influence. The investigation is ongoing.
IFK Göteborg's board writes in a statement on the club's website that they give their full support to Håkan Mild and the rest of the organization – where all forms of threats are "unacceptable".
"We as an association need to have a serious discussion about what culture we want to build around IFK Göteborg. The development we are in now is nothing we members and supporters can accept – but need help to turn around", they continue.
