Thousands Protest in The Hague Against Gaza Violence

A large demonstration has been held in The Hague in the Netherlands, with demands that the country's government should act more forcefully to bring an end to violence against civilians in Gaza, which the demonstrators characterise as genocide.

The protest was organized by human rights groups such as Amnesty International and Oxfam. The goal of the march was the International Court of Justice ICJ, where the question of whether the Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip should be characterized as genocide according to international law enforcement.

Many of the demonstrators had dressed in red as part of the manifestation.

Prime Minister Dick Schoof commented on the march on the social platform X: "To all of you in The Hague, I want to say: we see you and we hear you".

"Do not look away," and "Stop Dutch complicity," was written on signs and banners carried during the protest.

The organizers estimated that around 150,000 people participated in the march.

Similar manifestations have been held in several European cities during the day.
