Many thousands of Minnesotans demonstrated on Friday against the immigration enforcement agency, ICE, and its actions.

The protest march through central Minneapolis began with a concert featuring Bruce Springsteen, among others. Participants chanted, among other things, "Protesting against ICE is not a crime."

In many other places around the United States, smaller demonstrations have been held, including in San Francisco, the AP reports.

On Saturday, at least ten churches in Minneapolis will ring their bells at 12 noon, to show solidarity and try to unite the city, writes the Star-Tribune.

However, the newspaper reports that the general strike called for by several groups appears to be somewhat smaller than last weekend's strike.
