For more than seven weeks, nationwide demonstrations have been held following the collapse, which occurred in the northern city of Novi Sad. Many demonstrators have accused the authorities of inadequate supervision and corruption.

Sunday's protest, organized by university students, began with 15 minutes of silence, one minute of silence per victim.

After the incident, Goran Vesic, Minister for Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, resigned. Demonstrators also want to see Prime Minister Milos Vucevic and Novi Sad's Mayor Milan Duric resign and those directly responsible be prosecuted for the collapse.

The concrete roof at the entrance to the train station in Novi Sad, Serbia, collapsed during rush hour, when many travelers were moving around the station's entrance.

Novi Sad's train station has undergone extensive renovations, and construction work was ongoing in other parts of the station when the accident occurred.
