Winterberg is coming to the festival, which also showcases eight of the Danish director's films.

Mai Zetterling is also being highlighted in Gothenburg. The Swedish director was born 100 years ago and several of her films will be shown, including "The Girls" and "Amorosa".

It was previously known that the Iranian director Mohammad Rasoulof will visit Gothenburg with his film "The Sacred Tree's Fruits", which takes place in the aftermath of Mahsa Amini's death in 2022, which sparked the popular protests in Iran.

The French actress Julie Delpy will also come to Gothenburg and receive the Honorary Dragon Award.

In the Nordic Competition section, among others, the Swedish director Magnus von Horn's film "The Girl with the Needle" can be found, which is Denmark's Oscars bid. Two other Swedish directors are competing – Fanny Ovesen with her feature film debut "Live a Little" and "Kevlar Soul" by Maria Eriksson-Hecht.
