Thomas Buza is stepping down as secretary general of the Swedish Table Tennis Federation after nearly eight years. He will remain in the role until the end of March.

He has held the role since September 2018 and said in a statement that he will hand over the torch in March.

"A good opportunity for a new force to take over, not least because Swedish table tennis now stands on a stable, well-functioning foundation. I am also very proud of the work we have done together," says Buza.

The association's chairman, Dennis Lindahl, emphasizes Buza's importance.

"Under Thomas' leadership, Swedish table tennis has developed and grown in a very positive way, both organizationally and athletically. At the same time, I have great respect for his decision and am convinced that together we will ensure a good and safe shift forward," says Lindahl.

The association says it will provide further information later about the process for the role.
