This year's Nobel Prize laureate in Literature will be announced on Thursday, October 8. The Nobel Foundation announced this in a press release. This year, Ingrid Carlberg will step out of the Stock Exchange Building and read out the Swedish Academy's decision. She will take office as the new permanent secretary on June 1 of this year.
