It will be more expensive to bake lussebullarna for Advent and Christmas. Sugar and flour are cheaper than last year, but especially butter costs more.

The comparison service Matpriskollen has investigated how much it costs to bake lussekatter this year.

It turned out that several ingredients, such as sugar and wheat flour, have become much cheaper. The price of granulated sugar has fallen by just over 26 percent compared to last year and wheat flour costs about three percent less.

The prices of other necessary ingredients for the lusse bake have instead skyrocketed since last year, according to the Food Price Survey survey.

The price of saffron has risen 3.5 percent since last year and butter has become just over 11 percent more expensive. The dairy product quark, which is included in the recipe used, has also increased in price and costs just over 5 percent more than last year.

The total cost of the lusse bake according to the recipe is just over 3 percent higher than last year.
