This year's edition of the Gothenburg Film Festival was the most well-attended to date, the festival organizers announced in a press release. Over ten days, 287,800 visits were made by 45,182 unique visitors – an increase of 15 percent over last year.
This year's festival theme was truth. Actress Alicia Vikander opened the festival with a speech, after Minister of Culture Parisa Liljestrand (M) declined.
Next year the Gothenburg Film Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
