The eight-hour live broadcast is transmitted from the bird lake Tåkern in Östergötland, the Tromtö nature reserve on the Blekinge coast, Morups Tånge on the Halland coast, the Brånsjön wetland in Västerbotten and near a capercaillie lek in Uppland.
Last year, the night was also broadcast in Finland via Finland's Swedish-language Yle. This year, the collaboration is being expanded to include a Finnish team joining the broadcast from Björköby in northern Kvarken.
“Fågelsångsnatt” will be broadcast on P1 and in the Sveriges Radio app on May 9th.
