After classics like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "ET", expectations are always high when Steven Spielberg makes films about aliens. In "Disclosure Day", the director seems to have been inspired by the conspiracy theory that the state is hiding aliens on Earth. Suddenly one day, TV meteorologist Margaret (Emily Blunt) starts speaking with a clicking sound during a live broadcast. Security expert Daniel (Josh O'Connor) is one of the few who understands what has happened - because his mission has been to hide the secret existence of aliens on Earth.

Josh O'Connor is also in the news this week with another film that is far removed from Spielberg's science fiction world. The Briton stars opposite Paul Mescal in Oliver Hermanus' romantic drama, which has been described as the "Brokeback Mountain" of the music world. In the late 1910s, farm boy Lionel (Mescal) and the son of a wealthy man, David (O'Connor), find each other through the traditional folk music they both love.

TV/STREAMING

"Phoenix - no one is innocent" (12/6, SVT Play).

During the worst heat wave in French history, climate activists kidnap the children of some of Europe's most powerful people. Unless top executives take the climate crisis seriously, they may never see their children again. This Franco-German thriller series is part of a collaboration SVT has joined to create lavish pan-European drama ventures and compete with Netflix and other American streaming giants.
