I want to thank you all so much, this is fantastic. These are our friends. We have thousands of friends in this incredible movement. This was a movement that no one has ever seen before. And honestly, I believe this was the greatest political movement in history. There has never been anything like it in this country, and maybe not even outside of it.
And now it's going to reach a new level of significance, because we're going to help our country heal. We're going to help our country heal.
We have a country that needs help, and it needs a lot of help. We're going to fix our borders and we're going to fix everything with our country. We made history tonight, and the reason is just this. We overcame obstacles that no one thought were possible, and now it's clear that we've achieved the most incredible political... look what happened, it's crazy, but it's a political victory that our country has never seen before, nothing like it.
I want to thank the American people for the incredible honor of being elected as your 47th president, and your 45th president. Every single citizen, I will fight for you, for your family, and for your future. Every day, I will fight for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, secure, and prosperous USA that our children deserve and that you deserve. This is going to be the golden era for the USA. That's what we need.
This is an outstanding victory for the American people that will make us able to make the USA great again. Oh, we're going to do it.
Except that we have won in swing states like North Carolina, I love these places, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, so we're now winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska, which would mean that we're taking home at least 315 electoral votes. But it was much easier to do what the media companies did, or whoever declared it, because there was no other way. There was no other way to victory. We have also won the most votes. It was fantastic. I'm proud of it. Thank you so much. Getting the most votes was very fine, very fine – I promise.
It's a fantastic, fantastic feeling of love. We have an incredible love in this room. With incredible people standing by my side, these people have been incredible.
They've been with me on this journey, and we're going to make you very happy. We're going to make you very proud of your vote. I hope that one day you'll look back and say, "This was one of the most important moments in my life – when I voted for this group of people, beyond the president, for this group of fantastic people".
The USA has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. We have taken back control of the Senate – the battle for Senate seats in Montana, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, the great community of Pennsylvania, all won by the Maga movement. They helped so much.
In those cases, each and every one of them, we worked with the senators. It was tough races. And, I mean, the number of victories in the Senate was absolutely incredible. And we held meetings. We held meetings with each and every one of them. And sometimes we held two or three – and it was fantastic to see all those victories. Nobody expected it, nobody.
So I just wanted to thank you so much for that. And we have some fantastic senators and some fantastic new senators. And it looks like we're also going to retain control of the House of Representatives.
And I want to thank Mike Johnson, I think he's doing an incredible job. Incredible job.
I also want to thank my beautiful wife, Melania, the First Lady, who has the best-selling book in the country. Can you believe it? She's done a fantastic job, working very hard, working very hard to help people. So I just want to thank her, but I want to thank my whole family, my fantastic children, and they're fantastic kids. We all think our kids are fantastic – everyone here thinks their kids are fantastic, but it's a good thing to feel that way. John, Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany, Barron, Laura, Jared, Kimberly, Michael – thank you all.
My father-in-law Viktor – fantastic. And we miss Melania's mother Amalija very much. We miss Amalija, don't we? She would be so proud right now, standing on this stage. She was a fantastic woman, beautiful both inside and out. She was a fantastic woman.
I want to be the first to congratulate our great – can I say now – elected Vice President JD Vance and his absolutely fantastic and beautiful wife Usha Vance. And he's a tough guy, you know? You know, going into the enemy's camp – you know, the enemy's camp is certain TV channels and many people don't like it – "Sir, do I have to do it?" He says, "Okay, which one? CNN, MSNBC?" He says, "Okay, thank you", he's really the only guy I know who actually looks forward to it. And then he goes in and crushes it.
He showed himself to be a great choice. I got a little criticism in the beginning, but I knew, I knew that the brain was a great one, so great that it becomes. We love the family, and we're going to have four fantastic years, and we're going to turn our country around, make it something very special.
We have to do it. We're going to do it. It's the greatest country and potentially the greatest country in the world, by far. And now we're going to work very hard to get everything back. We're going to make it the best it's ever been.
We can do it. If we had to wait any longer... I don't know. It was going badly, and it was going fast to hell. We have to close our borders and we have to let people come into our country. We want people to come back in, but we have to, we have to let them come in, but they have to come in legally.
Everyone up here is fantastic. Everyone up here is very special. Oh, let me tell you, we have a new star. A star is born: Elon.
He's a fantastic guy. We sat together last night. You know, he spent two weeks in Philadelphia and different parts of Pennsylvania and campaigned. You know, he launched a rocket two weeks ago and I saw the rocket, I saw it coming down, I saw it was beautiful and shining white, but when it came down it didn't look so good, it was going 16,000 kilometers per hour and burning like hell. I said, "What happened to the color?" He said, "We've never created a color that can withstand that kind of heat", and... But I saw it coming down. And it was, you know, 22 stories high, by the way. It looks a little smaller than that, but it's big. And it came down and down and I saw the fire burning and I said, "Only Elon can do this. It has to be an Elon".
And I told the story. I told the story yesterday evening. I had a man on the phone. I had the phone on mute, no sound. I was talking to a very important man, who happens to be here, a very important guy, one of the most important people in the country, actually, I would say. But you know, I was president, and now it looks like I might become president again. So I thought I could ask him to wait, so I asked him to wait. And because – especially since I'm going to be president again – so you wait. So I put down the phone and looked at the screen and saw this crazy thing spinning around and falling down, it looked like it was going to crash into the platform and I said, "Oh no" and I said, "Can you wait for a few minutes, I want to see this", I thought it was a "Space Age" movie or something. I put down the phone, didn't pick it up for 45 minutes, and he waited. But the spacecraft came down and I saw the engines going and it looked like it was over, it was going to crash – and then I saw the fire flowing out from the left side and it straightened up and it fell down so softly and then it swept its arms around it and held it. Just like you hold your child at night, your little child. And it was a beautiful thing to see. And I called Elon – I said, "Elon, was that you?" He said, "Yes, it was." I said, "Who else can do that? Can Russia do that?" "No." "Can China do that?" "No." "Can the USA do that, besides you?" "No, nobody can do that." I said, "That's why I love you, Elon." It's fantastic. And you know, when we had that tragic hurricane, Helene, it hit North Carolina very hard. They were really destroyed. The water – it was so much water – it was like a water hurricane. Lakes appeared out of nowhere. Fields became lakes and it was incredibly dangerous. People from North Carolina came to me and said, "Would it be possible for you to talk to Elon Musk? We need Starlink."
I said, "What's Starlink?" "It's a communication system." So I called Elon Musk. And I'll tell you, he had... And it was very dangerous. People would die. They had no communication, all the lines were down.
I called Elon Musk. I said, "Elon, you have something called Starlink. Is that correct?" "Yes, I do. What the hell is it?" He said, "It's a communication system that's very good."
I said, "Elon, they really need it, really need it in North Carolina. Can you get it there?" He got it there so fast, it was incredible. It was fantastic. It saved many lives. He saved many lives.
But he's a figure. He's a special guy. He's a supergenius. We have to protect our geniuses. We don't have many of them. We have to protect our supergeniuses.
I want to thank some of the guys. You know, we have the US Open champion here today. He's fantastic – hits the ball a little longer than I do, hits the ball a little longer than I do, just a little longer. Bryson DeChambeau is here somewhere, what happened to Bryson, where is he? Bryson! Oh, he shoots, he hits balls, he's on his way, he hits balls. Bryson, look at him, he has a fantastic – he has a fantastic career going. Great US Open, Bryson.
It's a fantastic job. And we also have a man, Dana White, who has done a great job. Dana started in UFC and came to me. I hope it's okay if I use your name, nobody wanted to give him a chance because they said it's a tough sport, a little tough. And I helped him a little and I said, "This is the toughest sport I've ever seen." But I started to like it and he loved it. And nobody has done a better job in sports than him.
And you know, he's a very inspiring type of guy, what he does, he gets fighters to really give it their all, and it's become one of the most successful sports companies ever – anywhere, at any time. It's going so well that I would like to ask Danny to say a few words because people love to hear him.
(...)
He's a troublemaker, that one. No, he's fantastic – he's really a fantastic guy.
But most of all, I want to thank the millions of hardworking Americans around the country who have always been the heart and soul of this fantastic movement. We've been through so much together, and today, a record number of you came out
