14-15 September, Sweden will host India in the Davis Cup, where the winner will get a chance to qualify for the finals next year.
National team captain Simon Aspelin has selected Elias Ymer, Leo Borg, doubles players André Göransson and Filip Bergevi. The fifth player in the squad is 22-year-old debutant Adam Heinonen.
"Adam Heinonen has competed a lot in both singles and doubles this year and made a good impression on me when he trained with the DC team in Helsingborg last time", says national team captain Simon Aspelin in a press release.
Elias Ymer is the player with the highest singles ranking, at 223 in the world. André Göransson is ranked 67 in the world in doubles.
India's highest-ranked player Sumit Nagal (74) defeated Elias Ymer in Båstad this summer with 6–4, 6–3.
The match will be played at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm.
