Leicester City have appointed a new manager. It is Steve Cooper who will take over, now that the English football club is back in the Premier League.
"I am extremely delighted and proud. This is a fantastic club with a rich history and passionate supporters", says Cooper in a press release.
It only took one season in the Championship before Leicester made it back to the top flight, with the help of manager Enzo Maresca. The Italian has left the club to take over at Chelsea after Maurizio Pochettino.
Steve Cooper comes most recently from his job as manager at Nottingham Forest, where he was sacked in December 2023.
The 44-year-old Welshman has previously managed Swansea and English youth teams.
"We are delighted to welcome Steve to Leicester City. His vision for the team is very much what we aspire to as a club", says Leicester's chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.
