Secrecy around the production has been strict; only a few people knew which celebrities were hiding behind the masks. Despite this, participant lists were leaked as early as the start of 2021.
After taking several measures aimed at preventing leaks - to no avail - the production realized there was someone among them. Eventually, a suspect was identified.
"He heard everything we said via the four-wire and wireless microphones," says video producer Johan Sandklef to TV4 Nyheterna.
The man confessed and promised never to disclose information again. The channel has since introduced coded communication, among other measures.
