A strategic decision not to give it their all in the first round of competition and save their energy for the end may have given Appelquist and Björk victory in the Kanal 5 and HBO Max reality series. But the atmosphere between the two was not at its best throughout the final.
"Shut up, or stop here, because I can't stand that fucking whining from you," Martin Björk said to Appelquist shortly after the latter called for a slightly friendlier attitude.
Despite the squabble between them – and Appelquist's bad knee – they won over opponents Hans Fahlén and Mackan Edlund as well as Cissi Fors and Julia Wiberg.
"I'm very proud. It will be very fun to tell the family that we won," said Kristoffer Appelquist afterwards.
