The recordings of this year's Christmas calendar have just started in Västervik, Stockholm, and on Gotland. At the center of the action is 11-year-old Clint, whose dad disappeared on Christmas Eve five years ago. Since then, Clint has hated Christmas, but one December evening everything changes when a mysterious man with his arms full of treasures appears out of his closet and drops a time viewer. Curious Clint tests the viewer and is surprised when he sees his dad Pontus, who seems to be stuck somewhere in ancient times.
Among others, the cast includes Simon J Berger, Maja Rung, Gusten Wickberg, Blanca Eliasson, Johannes Kuhnke, Sissela Kyle, and Inger Nilsson. The script is written by Daniel Karlsson and Calle Åstrand, and the latter is also responsible for the direction.
"The record-breaking viewing figures of recent years raise the audience's expectations to the sky. I am, however, convinced that this year's Christmas adventure, with some absurd historical elements, will live up to expectations and maybe even more than that," says SVT Drama's program manager Johanna Gårdare in a press release.
