The Swedish Theatre Critics Association has nominated its favorites for the Theatre Award.
Playwright and director Christina Ouzounidis, the independent group Konträr and Tornedalsteatern's production "Ummikkos", in collaboration with the Riksteatern, are among the candidates who could win.
The award winner will be selected by a vote and announced on January 13, 2026. On the same day, the recipients of the 2025 Dance Prize and the Children and Youth Theatre Prize, both of which are now chosen by a jury, will also be announced, the Swedish Theatre Critics Association said in a press release.
