Duets with Patrik Isaksson and Fanny Avonne weren't enough. It was Sofia Gregersen and Love Backlund who had to leave tonight's "Idol".

"It will take some time to digest all this. It has been a dream but I woke up to life now," Backlund says on the broadcast.

The remaining eight participants' singing ability was challenged in duets with famous artists. Among others, Love Hedlund Stenmarck sang a duet with Tingsek and Nicolina-Mercedes Brandström with Mapei.

The two participants who stumbled at the finish line were ultimately Love Backlund and Sofia Gregersen, who took the news with equanimity.

I am very proud of my journey and have had so much fun, said Sofia Gregersen on the broadcast.

Finnish-Swedish Ingrid Enckell, who was told last week that she was too "clumsy", received a standing ovation from all the jury members this week for her duet with former "Idol" winner Jay Smith.

This is the artist you are meant to be, said Peg Parnevik.

During the evening, the idols also sang a choir version of "What is this feeling" from the musical "Wicked" together, after they attended the premiere of the new "Wicked" film this week.

Next week is the quarter-final of "Idol", and the theme will be Abba and "icons".
