Future music creators, both Swedish and international, are recognized at the Denniz Pop Awards in Stockholm. Swedish-Ukrainian songwriter Olga Myko, indie pop band Bellvie, and artist Engla Li are competing for the rookie artist/band of the year award, while Lennixx and Mark Phase are among the nominees in the songwriter/producer category.
"Now that AI is such a big topic of conversation, it feels hopeful to see how many young creators are instead seeking something more organic, personal and emotional," says Jacob Schulze, chairman of the jury, in a press release.
DJ and songwriter Denniz Pop (1963–1998) was part of the Swedish pop phenomenon.
