They are tonight's favorites in the Song Contest

If you believe the audience, it will be the rockers in Scarlet who secure the first final ticket of the evening in Melodifestivalen. There are divided opinions about who will follow them. I want to win, I'm very competitive, says 17-year-old Arwin, who is one of the favorites.

Melodifestival Club has asked 880 people in the audience after Friday's rehearsal who their favorite was during the evening.

Almost 40 percent of them answer Scarlet. They also received the most applause among the artists in the Husqvarna Garden arena when they performed their entry "Sweet n' psycho".

We didn't hear it ourselves, but you get really warm inside, she says, calling herself Thirsty afterwards.

Even among the betting companies, Scarlet is the favorite.

It feels unreal, but fantastically fun. We're just soaking it in, it's really flattering, says Scarlet Hunts, the other half of the duo.

Second in the audience survey with almost 23 percent of the votes is debutant Arwin. The 17-year-old from Stockholm is competing with the technoballad "This dream of mine".

I'm very proud of the song and the number, and regardless, I'll be happy and grateful to even get to stand here, but I definitely want to make it to the final, he says.

"A lot of adrenaline"

The genre pet was a new audience record for Arwin, with a good margin.

It was magical, I got so much adrenaline, he says.

At the same time, he's nervous, especially about the flight trick he does at the end of the number. But the support from the people around him means a lot.

I have my great team with me. They're very many, which I'm grateful for. Then I'll have my Kurdish family of around 50 million people, so it'll be fun.

23-year-old final tip

If you go by what the betting sites think, 23-year-old Vilhelm Buchaus is doing well. He's also making his debut in the competition. Buchaus and his sorrowful, indie-pop "I'm yours" are stable at number two on the odds lists.

I'm mainly just happy to be participating and hope to perform my song as well as possible, he says.

But why do you think people like the song?

I try to write about what I'm thinking about, my worries, and I hope people can recognize themselves in the song, relate to the lyrics and find peace in it.
