The Gerard Bonnier Prize is to be awarded annually to an author who is "active within the Academy's area of interest". Marie Lundquist, born 1950, is a poet, author, and translator.
She made her debut with a poetry collection in 1992 and has most recently published "Argue with the Sea" in 2023.
The poet Hanna Rajs, born 1991, is also awarded a prize by the Academy. She is awarded a scholarship from the Lena Vendelfelt Memorial Fund of 60,000 kronor. Hanna Rajs made her debut in 2015 and earlier this year published "Same, Mom" about the grief of losing a mother.
Scholarships are also awarded to Jonas Enander, who in 2024 published "Darkness and Humanity. On Black Holes and Our Place on Earth", which writes about physics and astronomy. He and Julia Ravanis, who published "Beauty in Chaos" and "Emmy's Theorem", will both receive 75,000 kronor each from the Gerard Bonnier Donation Fund.
Finally, theologian Gustav Björkstrand, resident in Åbo, will receive the Swedish Academy's Finland Prize of 100,000 kronor.
