The gala took place in London on Tuesday evening and a total of 24 nominees were competing in six categories, including creator of the year, video of the year, and artist breakthrough of the year.
Creator of the year was awarded to Isa Östling, who, according to the jury, "engages her community and is always authentic in her creation", while also openly discussing what it's like to be trans.
Kaeli Abdi won the prize in the video of the year category, which is about why we celebrate Sweden's national day and has over 500,000 views. Doctor Tracy Ghattas won the voice of change award for her inclusive way of talking about body and health.
In the other three categories, Sporttouchen, Luc1ano, and Laila Warsame took home the prizes.
It was TikTok users who voted for the winners in each category, through a vote in the app. During the gala, prizes were also awarded to TikTok creators in Norway, Denmark, the UK, and Ireland.
