When May 1st arrives, it's nine months until the Olympic Games. I don't have the opportunity to hesitate until far into the autumn. I must make up my mind, she says to NRK.

A national team must also be assembled.

Johaug made a comeback last season to get the opportunity to run the 50km for the first time as the distance was included in the World Championship. Moreover, the World Championship took place earlier this year on home ground, in Trondheim.

The idea was to only do one season. But then there's the Olympic Games in Milano-Cortina next year.

Husband Nils Jakob Hoff thinks she should run over the Olympic Games. And Norway's King Harald and Crown Princess Mette-Marit think Johaug should take another season.

Johaug asked the king for advice during a gala dinner.

Yes, he said, go for it!
