After her success at the World Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen the other week, where Therese Johaug was the top European finisher in 19th place, she has become a hot topic.
In her own podcast, the Norwegian says she will run the Valencia Marathon on December 6. The race is a qualifying event for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
"It’s big for me. Last week I said I might run, and now I’ve got my bib number," Johaug says on the podcast.
Expressen reports that Johaug has a place in the group behind the elite runners, whose goal is to run between 2:20 and 2:29.
For the Paris Olympics, the qualifying standard in the marathon was 2:26:50.
"I’ve never been in such good running shape as I am right now," Johaug says.
