Theo Hernandez came to Milan in the summer of 2019. After six years in the club, the full-back has chosen to leave for Saudi al-Hilal.
On social media, Hernandez thanks his teammates and supporters for this time – but goes hard at the current club management.
"The path the club has chosen to take, and some decisions that have been made recently, reflect neither the values nor the ambition that once brought me here", writes the 27-year-old.
He also praises the club's former sports director Paolo Maldini, who was fired in the summer of 2023.
"Thanks for your presence, vision and leadership", writes Hernandez about the icon.
Last season, Milan finished in eighth place. Hernandez was one of the team's players who was criticized for not fighting properly on and off the pitch.
"I leave with my head held high, because I have always given everything for this club, fought to the max and shared the same dreams as the fans. I leave with a heart full of emotions and with the hope that Milan will soon return to the place the club deserves", he writes.
In Milan's club management, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been found for two years. The icon is a consultant to the club's owner company Red Bird, and has been one of those that the supporters have demanded to leave since the weak last season.
