An exclusive Thai resort is the setting for the third season of "The White Lotus". The HBO original series premieres on Max on February 17 next year.
The third season of the socially satirical series is also written and directed by Mike White, and the eight episodes follow guests and employees at the luxury resort over a week's time.
The cast includes, among others, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Parker Posey.
"The White Lotus" is an anthology series with standalone plots in each season. The first season, which premiered in 2021, took place in Hawaii and received 20 Emmy nominations in 13 categories and won 10, more than any other series that year.
The second season, which premiered in December 2022, took place in Sicily and received 23 Emmy nominations, including "outstanding drama series".
