Ballon d'Or winner Aitana Bonmatí remains loyal to Barcelona. The 26-year-old midfielder has signed a new contract with the Catalan football club.

Bonmatí has been the key player in both Europe's best club teams and the world's best national teams in recent seasons. In Barcelona, she has stacked up league titles and won the last two editions of the Champions League. Last season, the team also won the Spanish Cup and Super Cup.
With the Spanish national team, she has won both World Championship gold and the Nations League in the last year.
The new contract extends until 2028.
