The number of cases of winter vomiting disease is expected to increase in the near future now that the epidemic has started for the season.

Last season, fewer cases of winter vomiting disease were reported than the year before, with a lower and somewhat later peak than during the 2023–2024 season," says deputy state epidemiologist Klara Sondén in a press release from the Public Health Agency.
