"All the lasers and smoke in the world can't seem to get The Weeknd to light up himself," writes Expressen's Tali Da Silva, who gives it a rating of 2 out of 5 and thinks that the R&B star lacks "energy, joy and spirit."
Aftonbladet's Markus Larsson is also disappointed in his 2/5 review, writing that "the music disappears into the props and arena clichés" and that The Weeknd "ends up in the shadows of his mammoth backdrops."
DN's Mattias Dahlström is somewhat more positive in his3/5 review but writes that "the curse of the modern pop star is to be creatively inventive at the breakthrough and obviously managerial once you reach the biggest stages."
The Weeknd also plays on Sunday and Monday.
