"He has lost his respect for the big obstacles and followed so well in the jump-off," says Rolf-Göran Bengtsson to the Swedish Equestrian Federation's website after the latest international success of the horse that won the World Championship for Young Horses as a seven-year-old.
On Saturday, a Grand Prix at 1.50 m awaits with Caillan.
"We're looking forward to that. I don't think he chased himself too much in the jump-off today, even though he was so fast," says Bengtsson.
Bengtsson rode his last major championship - the Paris Olympics - in the summer of 2024 and was in contention for the 2025 European Championships, but the horse Zuccero was sold.
The big championship of the year is the World Championships in Aachen in August. The Swedish team will be there as the reigning champions.
