The former Bayern München player Jerome Boateng is acquitted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Boateng gets off with a warning and a conditional fine, the German judge decided in the renewed trial of the player due to insufficient evidence.
The fine of over two million kronor will only be payable by Boateng if he is convicted of a crime.
The 35-year-old was convicted in 2021 of assault, but was granted a retrial after an appeal.
The ex-girlfriend accused Boateng of assaulting and insulting her during a vacation in 2018, shortly after he was eliminated from the World Championship in Russia with the German national team.
The centre-back was part of the German squad that won the World Championship gold in 2010 in South Africa.
