"In recent days, several serious shootings have occurred in different parts of the country. These are terrible acts of violence, and my thoughts are first and foremost of the victims and their families, friends and everyone else who has been affected," said Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M) in a statement to TT.
On Saturday, a man in his 20s was shot dead in Örebro. On Monday, a teenager was injured in Huddinge outside Stockholm, and he later died. On Tuesday, a man was injured in Solna.
On Wednesday, two shootings occurred. In Malmö, a 15-year-old boy was killed and in Tyresö, south of Stockholm, an 18-year-old man was seriously injured by gunfire on a bus.
