The football talent Lamine Yamal limped off the pitch in Spain's 1-0 win over Denmark in the Nations League on Saturday evening.
Now the Spanish Football Association confirms that the 17-year-old is being sent home. However, it is not about any serious injury.
"Lamine Yamal underwent an MRI scan this morning in Madrid to assess the discomfort he reported after the match against Denmark. The tests have not shown any major injuries, and the association's medical team confirms that it is a case of overload," the association writes on its website.
Yamal started the match for Spain and played 93 minutes before finally throwing in the towel and limping off the pitch after taking several knocks during the match.
