Former Färjestad player Albert Johansson has broken the goal drought in NHL. He scored 4–1 in the 5–3 win against Chicago at home in Detroit with a smooth pass from Lucas Raymond.

"I'll remember this forever. A fantastic pass from Lucas, so I have to thank him for that", says Johansson, who played his 20th NHL game, in a press release.

Coach Todd McLellan praised Johansson after the game.

"Albert showed good instincts and has gotten better for every period he's played", he says.

The 24-year-old Johansson and a few other Swedes on the team contributed significantly to Detroit's eventual 5-3 win, their sixth straight victory. In addition to superstar Lucas Raymond serving Albert Johansson for his goal, Raymond himself scored 2-1 at the beginning of the second period. Erik Gustafsson got an assist for Detroit's 3-1 goal and Simon Edvinsson for the home team's fifth goal.

Corrected: In an earlier version, Johansson's age was incorrect.
