15 minutes. Approximately how long Swedish defenseman Oliver Kylington belonged to New York Islanders after the trade from Colorado last night, Swedish time.
Then it was time for a new club change – from east to west – in NHL hockey, when "Islanders" sent the 27-year-old defenseman further to Anaheim.
It all started when Colorado, in a larger trade involving several players, picked up 33-year-old center star Brock Nelson, who represented the USA in Four Nations, from "Islanders". This included, among others, Kylington as "partial payment" before he was sent further a quarter of an hour later.
Kylington came to Colorado before this season, but it only resulted in 13 appearances and four points. Previously, he belonged to Calgary for several years, but was out of play for almost two years (between May 2022 and January 2024) due to mental health issues.
