Vancouver's Elias Pettersson scored the game's first – and for a long time only – goal in the win against Minnesota.
With four minutes left of the first period, the Swede banged in a direct shot after a pass from teammate Brock Boeser.
Not until the middle of the second period did Minnesota equalize, but shortly thereafter Vancouver sent in two more goals and took home the match with 3–1.
