In the women's World Championship large hill final, the wind in Trondheim stopped the skiers from completing the second jump.
The points from the first jump became the final result, and Swedish Frida Westman thus finished in 28th place with 77.2 points.
The 28th place would have been enough for a chance in the second jump, but it was cancelled.
It means a lot. I get to continue working on my jumping and I want to say that it's a victory today regardless of the result. I'm proud that I made it to the second jump, says Westman to TT.
The winner was Slovenian Nika Prevc with her 150.9 points from the first (and only) jump. Second was Selina Freitag, Germany, followed by Eirin Maria Kvandal, Norway, with 136.7 and 132.4 points respectively.
Frida Westman has had an injury-filled career, but hopes for a more stable next season.
I'll be jumping here (in Trondheim) when the World Championship is over and work on it. I hope to be part of it from the start next season, says the 24-year-old.
