The biathlete Ella Halvarsson has had her breakthrough in the World Cup this winter. Now she is also being rewarded for her hard work.
The Swede will make her World Championship debut in Friday's sprint.
It's going to be fun to get the chance to try it out, she says at a press conference in Lenzerheide.
Halvarsson opened her debut season in the World Cup with a major success. First, she won the single mixed relay in Finnish Kontiolax, and just a few days later, she secured her first individual podium, finishing second in the short distance.
Even the big star Elvira Öberg is, after missing Wednesday's mixed relay due to illness during the World Championship preparations, clear to start.
The women's sprint begins at 15.05 on Friday. The men's race takes place on Saturday.
The women's sprint team (Friday): Elvira Öberg, Hanna Öberg, Anna Magnusson, Ella Halvarsson
The men's sprint team (Saturday): Sebastian Samuelsson, Martin Ponsiluoma, Jesper Nelin, Viktor Brandt.
