Aftonbladet was the first to report on the accident and now Montreal Canadiens writes more detailed on X about the event:

"Emil Heineman was involved in a traffic accident yesterday as a pedestrian. Heineman sustained an upper body injury and will be out for 3-4 weeks", the club writes.

Montreal is currently in Salt Lake City where the team meets Utah tonight, Swedish time.

The former Leksand forward is in his second season in North America and the first as a regular in the classic Montreal.

He is counted as a rookie and with his 10 goals and 17 points, he is the third best of all newcomers in terms of goals.

Only giant talents Macklin Celebrini, San Jose, and Philadelphia's Russian rookie Matvei Mitjkov, have scored more goals with their 13 full hits.
