It is in a commercial for an American mayonnaise brand that stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan
to recreate the classic scene from "When Harry Met Sally" from 1989.In the original film, Crystal's character Harry claims that none of the women he has been intimate with have ever faked an orgasm, whereupon Ryan's character provides convincing evidence to the contrary, right in the middle of all the restaurant guests.
Billy Crystal tells People that the timing for recreating the scene felt completely right:
It was the 35th anniversary of our film, and it was the first time we were asked to do something like this again. It was a really cool idea, and the timing felt right.
Even film star Sydney Sweeney makes a cameo appearance as a restaurant guest – it is she who delivers the famous line "I'll have what she's having" ("I'll have the same as she ordered", editor's note).
The commercial will be broadcast during the Super Bowl final on February 9. The final in American football is the world's most-watched TV broadcast, with a staggering 123.7 million viewers last year. This means that an advertising spot is extremely sought after, and companies can pay close to 80 million kronor for a half-minute exposure.
Moreover, world stars often flock to participate in the commercials, and over the years, among others, Eminem, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, and Anthony Hopkins have lent their faces.
