Among all the glitter and glamour that characterizes the lives of Premier League stars, Diogo Dalot chose to help some of those who need it most.
At a crisis center in Manchester, the 25-year-old and his partner, Cláudia Pinto Lopes, helped to donate both clothes and Christmas food to the homeless on Christmas Eve.
The donations were enough to distribute warm meals to over 100 people.
I've lived in Manchester for over six years now and I'm proud to call it my home. Unfortunately, the number of homeless people is increasing, and as a family, we want to raise awareness about this and help people directly where it's needed, says Dalot.
The organization that the Portuguese is working with is LifeShareUK, a British charity organization that targets the homeless.
The volunteers I've met here today are truly inspiring, they are real heroes. I'm very grateful to have spent time with them and played a small role in contributing to such important work for the people they help, concludes the full-back.
