Swedish rookie Pelle Larsson has not had the opportunity to play many matches together with Jimmy Butler in Miami Heat. And it will take a while longer – if the 35-year-old basketball star ever puts on the Miami jersey again.
The club has chosen to suspend Butler for an additional five matches. It is the third time in a month that Miami suspends its star forward, and the news came just a few hours before he was supposed to make a comeback after being suspended for two matches since he missed the team's flight to an away game last week.
This time, he is suspended for leaving Monday's match warm-up against Orlando Magic prematurely. Some time ago, he was also suspended for seven matches after behaving in a way that was considered to have harmed the team.
Jimmy Butler has altogether missed 14 of the team's last 19 matches.
It is no secret that Butler wants to leave Miami, and the club likely sees no great point in continuing to pay the 35-year-old's high salary. However, the league's stricter salary cap rules are a difficult obstacle.
The deadline for transfers in the NBA is February 6.
