Vasic won the somewhat surprising top scorer title in the Allsvenskan football league with 17 goals. Therefore, it was anything but certain that BP would be able to keep their top scorer for next season as well.
"We are happy that Niko chose to stay with us. We showed early on that we wanted him to stay by offering him a contract, and at the same time, we have had full understanding that a top scorer in the Allsvenskan can receive good offers from both abroad and Swedish clubs with more money than we have," says Brommapojkarna's sports manager Philip Berglund to the club's website.
BP does not disclose how long the new contract will last, but notes that they will have to do without the striker during the first part of 2025. Vasic suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the last Allsvenskan round and is currently in the middle of rehabilitation training.
For his part, Nikola Vasic looks forward to helping BP to an even better season. This year, the team finished tenth in the Allsvenskan.
"I'm incredibly excited about the goals and ambitions the club is entering with next season. The team we have right now has all the prerequisites to make a big impact next year," says Vasic.
