Speculations about the Pope's health continue to flourish in the Vatican State. The 88-year-old Argentine was hospitalized on February 14 with double-sided pneumonia and tracheitis, according to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome.
Unusually, the hospital published a bulletin about the health status on Friday afternoon; doctors stated that the Pope's health status "was not out of danger" and that he would remain "at least another week" in the hospital.
The morning bulletin from the hospital was slightly more positive:
"The night went well. Pope Francis was able to get out of bed and have breakfast."
Francis has not been seen since he was hospitalized, and the Vatican has not published any pictures of him from the hospital bed. However, among others, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni visited the hospital suite on the tenth floor, which is the Pope's private – and she said that Francis was in good spirits considering the circumstances.
