The Royal Dramatic Theatre raises three Palestinian authors in a staged reading on November 26. "Icarus' Dream" is a specially written short play by Wesam Al Madani, where he takes on contemporary times seen through Greek mythology, where Minotaur is war.
The short story "A Small Window from Gaza" by author and human rights activist Muhammad al-Zaqzouq will also be performed, as well as poems from Somaya El Sousi's book "A Flute of Darkness". The poet was born in Gaza and debuted in 1998. She now lives in exile as a city of refuge author.
The texts will be performed by actors Nina Fex, Johan Holmberg, Alexander de Sousa, and Melinda Kinnaman.
"Dramaten Doc" started in the spring of 2023 under the artistic direction of director and author Dmitri Plax and has so far given thirteen staged readings of, among others, Ukrainian Serhij Zjadan, Armenian Lika Zakarjan, and Kurdish Firat Ceweri.
