Queen Silvia and King Carl XVI Gustaf are making a state visit to Singapore from November 19 to 21, announces the Royal Palace.
The purpose is to "consolidate and develop the good relationship between Sweden and Singapore and strengthen the economic and political ties, with a focus on trade, innovation, investments, and green transition", writes the Royal Palace.
About 40 Swedish companies, authorities, and educational institutions are part of the business delegation put together by Business Sweden on behalf of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The government will be represented by ministers and state secretaries.
This is the first state visit between Sweden and Singapore, but the king has made official visits to the island nation previously.
