It will be the Rolling Stones' 25th studio album, three years after "Hackney Diamonds" - which was the Stones' first album with newly written material since 2005.
"It was an intense few weeks recording 'Foreign Tongues'," says singer Mick Jagger in the press release.
The album also features a "special appearance" by former drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021 - one of his last recordings. Also featured are Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith (The Cure) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
In conjunction with the announcement of the date for the new album, the Rolling Stones have released the first single from "Foreign Tongues": "In the Stars".
