The demand, which the Riksdag has now unanimously agreed to, is the result of a so-called committee initiative for which the red-green opposition has received the support of the entire Riksdag.
The background to it all is high-profile revelations in the media about how, among others, Swedes commit sexual abuse against children in the Philippines via the internet.
The Riksdag also requests that the government ask the police to block websites that in one way or another encourage or enable sexual abuse of children, sometimes called sugar dating.
