The reason is that the region's public transport administration has sent out open postcards to users about transport services, which may violate GDPR, reports VLT.
On the front of the postcard it said "To you who travel with public transport", on the back the user's first and last name and address.
"When anyone can see who is in need of transportation, there is a risk that you will be seen as an easy victim for, for example, home robbery. It is very unpleasant. I also don't think it feels good to indirectly disclose my health data," says a recipient of the postcard that VLT has spoken to.
The notification shows that a total of 7,413 people received the postcard, including patients, children and schoolchildren of various ages.
